Orientation Procedure - New Entrants

On arrival at Little Einsteins you and your child will be greeted and welcomed to our Centre by a staff member at reception (Jill/Jo/Jayne).

If, after a tour, you decide to enrol your child at Little Einsteins, a staff member will give you an enrolment form to complete, and arrange a mutually convenient time with you and the teachers of the designated room for you to spend some time in the Centre with your child.

This is a vital part of the transitioning process, and helps to ensure that your child's integration into the Little Einsteins team is as smooth as possible. This normally consists of three one hour visits to the Centre on the days preceding your child's start date.

You will be given a booklet introducing Little Einsteins, and a detailed information sheet to complete about your child. This helps your child's teachers get to know your child, and allows the teachers some insight to keep your child's routines as close to 'normal' as possible.

During your three free transition visits, you will have a chance to get to know your child's teachers, and to find out where significant areas of the Centre are, ie:

• Toilets/Bathroom
• Bag Hooks
• Kai area
• Noticeboards (including philosophy and complaints procedure)
• Children's profile book area
• Policies and ERO review
• Parent pockets
